Valentine

February 14, 2025

Twinkling sunlight tumbles in from the window, and invites me to greet you gently. Soft sounds spoken from your nose tell me you aren’t ready to hear me just yet.

Oh valentine, how I wish today were infinite. To linger in the hush of dawn, wrapped in warmth, in love, with you.

The world can wait beyond my door, its hurried hands will try to steal this fleeting, golden moment’s glow. So here, in light, we rest.

Sleep a while, and I will stay, watching as the morning sways, I will protect your peace, your sleep, your every dream, my valentine.
